Pakistan’s cricket team and New Zealand’s cricket team have played a lot of One Day International, T20 and Test matches. The first test match was played in 1955 between these two countries and after that a continuous series of matches started between these two nations. As of now, 45 Test matches have been played between these two countries and, out of these 50 Test matches, Pakistan’s cricket team is leading New Zealand’s cricket team. Pakistan’s cricket team has won 23 matches whereas New Zealand has won just 7 matches. Twenty Test matches between these two countries have been drawn.  With a lead of 16 matches, Pakistan’s cricket team players also made some records along with the players of the New Zealand cricket team.

Test cricket records: Pakistan cricket team versus New Zealand cricket team

  • Pakistan’s cricket team has a record of highest total score of 643 all out in Lahore in Gaddafi Stadium, May 2002.
  • Inzamam-ul-Haq a very talented player of Pakistan cricket team made a record of 329 runs against New Zealand in Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore in May 2002.
  • Rashid Latif, a fantastic player on Pakistan’s cricket team, made a tremendous record of 9 catches in a match against New Zealand in February of 1994.

Pakistan’s cricket team and New Zealand cricket team are the two teams who not only faced each other in test matches but also in One Day Internationals, and they played a lot of tough matches which were extremely liked by the audiences and they have made many unforgettable records. Until now they have played 85 One Day International matches, out of which Pakistan’s cricket team won 51 matches, New Zealand won 33 matches and 1 match was drawn. Beside this, there are also many records made by these two teams and some of them are written below.

  • Pakistan’s cricket team has a record of the highest total score of 328 for the loss of 2 wickets against New Zealand in the Australasian cup played at Sharjah in 1994.
  • Inzamam-ul-Haq a fabulous Pakistan cricket team player made a record of highest individual score of 137 not out against New Zealand during the Austral-Asia Cup in Sharjah.
  • Salim Malik of Pakistan’s cricket team has a record of the most catches in a match with a total  of 4 catches during the Wills Series in Sialkot, 1984.
  • Shoaib Akhtar, the fastest bowler of Pakistan’s cricket team, has a record of the best bowling figures. He got 6 wickets by giving just 16 runs in Karachi in 2002.

As a format, twenty-twenty tournaments are not very old. It was recently introduced a few years ago due to which there are few matches played between different teams. After the introduction of twenty-twenty tournaments to the world, Pakistan and New Zealand cricket teams faced each other in a few matches and, in those battles, Pakistan’s cricket team defeated New Zealand’s cricket team. Eight matches were played between these two teams out of which 5 were won by Pakistan’s cricket team and 3 were won by New Zealand’s cricket team.   • Imran Nazir, an amazing batsman on Pakistan’s cricket team, made a record of the highest score in T20 against New Zealand with a score of 59 in Cape Town in October 2007.
  • Umer Gul, who is the best bowler of Pakistan’s cricket team, made a record of best bowling. He got 3 wickets by just giving 15 runs in Cape Town.
  • Muhammad Hafeez and Imran Nazir made a record of highest partnership of 60 runs against New Zealand in Cape Town in 2007.
