Heath Streak is a known figure in the realm of former players of the Zimbabwe cricket team. He is known to be the only bowler for the Zimbabwean team who exceeded a feat of 100 wickets in Test tournaments and also, one of the only two bowlers who took more than 100 wickets in his ODI career.

Streak made his Test debut in 1993-94 in the Zimbabwean tour of Pakistan wherein he took eight wickets in the 2nd Test match and also won the award of Man of the series, pocketing a good 22 wickets averaging at 13.54. In 1995, Streak displayed the best bowling record against Pakistan with his achievement of 6/90 in the very first Test. This moved on to the first tour of England by the Zimbabwean cricket team that was followed by the Bangladesh tour of Zimbabwe during 2000-01 when this famous cricket player won two awards, honoring him with the title of Man of the Series.

In the October of 2005, Heath Hilton Streak announced his retirement from International cricket to take up the position of a captain for the Warwickshire County Cricket Club as he had earlier been a part of county cricket for Hampshire.  He retired from the captaincy in April 2007 and later joined the Indian Cricket League by being a part of the Ahmedabad Rockets. Streak ended his affiliation with ICL in 2009 and joined the national Zimbabwe cricket team as the bowling coach in August of the same year.

Zimbabwe cricket team has appeared in many grand events but the team has struggled despite having talent. The talent in team is predominantly limited which keeps the pressure on few performing cricket player. Zimbabwe doesn’t have much well performing batting line up which has caused problems for the team. In the wake of 2015 Cricket world cup, let’s see how the team performs against teams like Pakistan, India etc.
