Famous cricket player of Pakistan: Waqar younis

• One of the all time cricket players, Waqar younis is now a former player of the Pakistani cricket team. Known for his excellent reverse swing, Waqar Younis made his ODI debut in the year 1989 and played his last ODI in 2003.
• Waqar Younis has the best strike rate and has been the reason for 373 dismissals in test series and 416 when we talk about one day internationals.
• Famously known as the “Burewala express” because of his high speed bowling, waqar younis had a marvelous cricket career. He initially started off with cricket clubs and then was chosen for the national team because of his dedicated and highly infatuated performance.
• He is also well-known for his hat-tricks in one day internationals and his in swinging yorker (a form of delivery).
• He has received several other awards for his astonishing bowling skills which include 13 five wickets hauls 13 times and wisden cricketers of the year award.
• Waqar younis is known to be banned for ball tampering in the year 2000 and was made to pay fifty percent of his match fee.
• He retired from cricket in the year 2003 which was followed by his coaching career.
• First he was appointed the bowling coach of the Pakistan cricket team for a few years and then later in 2010 he was signed up as the head coach of Pakistani team.
