Five-wicket haul also known as five-fer, five-for, fifer, shortened to FWI or 5WI. Five or more wickets taken by any bowler in an innings/match/career, considered a brilliant performance. The term five-for is a short form of the usual form of writing bowling statistics, e.g. a bowler who took 5 wickets and concedes 117 runs in an innings is said to have figures of “5-117” or “5 for 117”.
