Famous Pakistani cricketer Younis Khan

 

Younis Khan is the best thing ever happened to Pakistan cricket team over the years. His fabulous game plan and his consistency has always made Pakistan cricket side invincible for the opponents. He is the only Pakistan cricketer to score 300 or more runs in an innings. He also holds the record for scoring most centuries by a Pakistani in test cricket. 

  • Younis Khan, the former Pakistani cricket team captain is among the most senior players in the current Pakistan cricket team squad. He made his debut in one day international cricket in 2000 and has not been dropped since then with an exception to injuries.
  • Younis Khan has played in 254 ODI matches for Pakistan cricket team and has scored an aggregate of /017 runs with 6 centuries and 48 fifties. (144 highest total in an innings)
  • In test cricket, Yunus has scored 8,206 runs in 94 matches. He has scored 28 hundreds and 28 fifties, making him the only Pakistani batsman to score highest number of centuries in test cricket
  • He was a successful captain, as he won the 2009 t twenty world cup for his country but he resigned in answer to being accused for match fixing.

  • Mushtaq Ahmed famously knows as “Mushy” joined the Pakistan cricket team in the same year Saeed Anwar (1989). He was the first choice leg spinner for more than 10 years.He has been declared as one the best three wrist spinners in the world.
  • Mushtaq Ahmed was most prolific during the years of 1995 and 1998 when he played at domestic level for Sussex in the early 2000s.
  • Mushtaq Ahmad participated in 3 consecutive ICC world cups and was an eminent wicket taker for the Pakistani team.
  • Mushtaq Ahmad played 144 ODI matches and took 161 wickets with 5/36 being his best
  • He was a test bowler as most leg spinners are hence was seen less in the One day form of the game.
  • He played First class cricket in England more than ODI’s for his team basically because of his consistent performance on the English fields.
  • Five years later to winning 1992 World Cup, Mushtaq Ahmed was named as on eof the Wisden Cricketers of the Year.
  • In 2003, Mushtaq became the first bwoler to take 100 wickets in five years of English season.

  • Mushtaq Ahmed was taken up England Cricket Board to coach their bowlers for spin. He however as of 2014 is working with Pakistani team and working on upcoming talent such as Yasir Shah and Zulfiqar Babar.
  • Mushtaq Ahmed will always be remembered for his bowling. His career success can be gauged from the fact that he is still a priority choice for teams when it comes to spin bowling excellence.
