2007 cricket world cup was held in the West Indies. 16 teams participated in this tournament. The teams were divided into 4 groups and a total of 51 matches were played. The 9^th world cup cricket in 2007 was the first world cup being played in West Indies.

The final match was played between Australia and Sri Lanka. This time Australia beat Sri lanka by 53 runs.  Steve Bucknor and Aleem Dar were the umpires. Rain rule reduced Sri Lankan innings to 36 overs. Australia set the record of reaching 4^th straight final and winning the 3^rd one in a row.

Those were good old days when World Cup Cricket tournaments used to be so full of glamour. There were many players who were known for their masculine style and impressive personalities.
