Pakistan cricket team is the world’s most unpredictable team with immensely talented players both on batting and bowling side. Since 2011, after a heartbreak in Mohali against India, Pakistan under the captaincy of Misbah-ul-Haq has evolved as a much dangerous and mature team with some prominent improvement on the batting side. Although Pakistan is facing a major set back without its darling bowler Saeed Ajmal but the team has performed tremendously in a series against Australia in 2014. New talent has been incorporated in the team under the leadership of Misbah-ul-Haq with a much needed experience of Younis Khan for batters.
Some of the prominent names on the batting side of Pakistan cricket team include Ahmed Shahzad, Misbah-ul-Haq, Younis Khan, Azhar Ali, Umar Akmal, Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Hafeez and Ahmad Sarfraz. As for bowling side, Pakistani team is still at best with the likes of Mohammad Irfan, Junaid Khan, Umer Gul and new additions of Yasir Shah and Zulfiqar Babar.
Pakistan cricket team is surely a good candidate to lift 2015 World Cup if they perform well throughout the tournament and they have the history of winning the World Cup to back it up. In fact, Pakistan team has tendency to give the fight till a last moment and to win the match but there is lack of consistency that makes it uncertain to win the World Cup.
Currently, Pakistan team is facing problems with some of the players such as Saeed Ajmal who has been suspended due to his wrong bowling action. He is working with Saqlain Mushtaq to fix his bowling style. We hope he makes his way into the team before the 2015 ICC cricket world cup. In order to lift the World Cup, they have to sort out these issues as soon as possible; otherwise, team might not reach even to semifinals. But, one cannot ignore the Team Pakistan that has a real potential to win any game even in the worst possible situation.
