T20 cricket records: Pakistan cricket team vs Australian cricket team

Australia and Pakistan both started off with the icc world t20 cup in the year 2007, the year in which the icc world twenty20 was inaugurated. The two teams met for the first time in the first icc twenty20 cup in the 18^th match of the tournament.

• Shoaib Malik was the caption of the Pakistani Cricket team in the First T20 match played against Australian cricket team which was being captained by Ricky Ponting.
• In group F, Pakistan played its first t20 match against the Australian cricket team.
• Mark benson and Nigel Llong were the umpires in the first T20 match between Australia and Pakistan.
• On the grounds of Johannesburg, Pakistani cricket team played against the Australian team at the wanderer’s stadium.
• Pakistan won its first T20 match against the Aussies by 6 wickets. Pakistani popular batsman Misba ul haq was the man of the match.
• A total of seven T20 matches have been played between the two teams up till today.
• Misbah ul haq, Umar akmal and Slaman butt have been eminent players in the t20 matches. Shahid afridi also performed marvelously in a couple of matches. On the bowling side, Umar Gul, Sohail Tanvir and Mohammad Amir showed splendid performance and took several important wickets.
• DA Warner, DJ Hussey and MEK Hussey have been batting very well from the Australian team. Where as on the bowling side, average performance has been observed from all the famous bowlers of the Australian team including SR Clark, SW Tait and DP Nannes.

• The highest individual T20 score so far has been made by Kamran Akmal of the Pakistani Cricket team.
• Mohammad Amir took the most number of wickets i.e 12 in T20 matches against the Australian cricket team where as the best bowling figures were of Umar Gul, SW Tait and Shahid Afridi.
• Coming to the wicket keeping figures, Pakistani cricket team member, Kamran Akmal has a record of maximum number of dismissals in the t20 internationals.
• The last up to date T20 match played between Australian and Pakistani cricket team was at Birmingham on the fields of Edgbaston.

 

T20 cricket records: English cricket team vs Australian cricket team

England cricket team faced the Australian cricket team in the ICC T20 world cup for the first time on the fields of Southampton on 13^th June 2005.

• MP Vaughan was the captain of the England cricket team which is also known as “ the pomp pomps”  in the first T20 match that the team played where as the Aussies were being captained by greatest Australian player Ricky Ponting.
• NJ Llong and JW Lloyds were the two umpires who were present at the first T20 match played between the two cricket teams in the year 2005.
• Played at the Rose Bowl, Southampton was the first T20 match played between the Pomp Pomps and the Aussies.
• England cricket team was the winner of the first T20 match played against the Australian cricket team on 13^th June 2005. England won by 100 runs and KP Pietersen was the man of the match.
• Up to date, a total of eight T20 matches have been played between England cricket players and Australian cricket players.
• KP Pietersen, PD Collingwood and IR Bell of the England cricket team batted very well through out the T20 matches against the Aussies. On the bowling side, PD Collingwood and J Lewis have taken most number of wickets so far.
• CL White and Adam Gilchrist have performed effectively against the England cricket team and MG Johnson and SR Watson bowled very well and scored the maximum number of wickets among the Australian players.
• The Aussies have won three times against England in the T20 matches and England has also achieved victory against the Aussies three times. One of the T20 match between these two teams was abandoned which was played on the grounds of Manchester in the year 2009.
• The highest T20 total up to date made against the England cricket team by the Australian cricket players is 221 at the cost of 5 wickets. This T20 match was played in Sydney on 9 Jan 2007.
• The Highest individual score (67) has been made by ML Hayden of the Australian cricket team against England cricket team in the ICC T20 matches.
• Famous Australian cricket player MG Johnson, the Aussie bowler has taken the maximum number of wickets (9) against the England cricket team in the T 20 matches. However, the best bowling figures are of SR Watson who’s also an Aussie.
• AC Gilchrist, the Australian player has the most number of dismissal records in the T20 matches against the England cricket team.
• The last up to date match played between the two cricket teams is the T20 match played on the fields of Melbourne on 14^th Jan 2011.

 

 

Famous cricket player of Pakistan: Umer Gul

• Praised for his control of line and length, the high-speed medium right arm bowler with right-hand batting style, Umer Gul is one of the youthful bowlers that the Pakistani cricket team possesses.
• He made his debut in 2003 on the grounds of sharjah against Zimbabwe cricket team. In a total of 80 ODI’s matches, umer gul has taken 114 wickets which truly reflect his admirable bowling skills.
• In the home series of 2003-2004 against Bangladesh cricket team, he bowled outstandingly and making his test debut scored 15 wickets.
• Unfortunately, the young bowler has had few test appearances because of the injuries he got subjected to.
• Umar Gul got eminent fame in the cricket era because of his superb performance in the ICC World Twenty20. He got three wickets in the final match which made him the top wicket taking bowler of the entire tournament.
• In the 2009 ICC world twenty20, his tremendous bowling skills once again proved his talent in the game when he became the first bowler in the international twenty20 world cup to achieve five-wicket haul.
• Apart from his marvelous bowling, umer gul can also hit some runs when needed. Making 29 off 30 deliveries and 34 in 11 deliveries prove that in times of need, the player can be used as a fruitful batsman.
