Three of these World Cup wins were hat-tricks, won in 1999, 2003 and 2007. The second best team with such a record is West Indies who has won both the opening World Cup in 1975 and 1979. At the third place, there are two teams, India and Sri Lanka that have won one World Cup and reached the finals of one another World Cup. The third best team in the record is the founder of cricket, England, who reached the semi-final level four times but lost the game in the end.
