The first cricket test match by the Pakistan cricket team and West Indies was played in 1956. West Indies was known as “Black Storm” in the 1990’s. There were many tough matches played between these two teams. People enjoyed watching the matches between these two countries. From 1956 until now, there have been 44 matches played between these two nations and out of these 44 matches, 15 matches were won by the Pakistan cricket team, 14 were won by West Indies cricket team, while the remaining 15 were drawn. The Pakistan cricket team is leading the West Indies cricket team in the test series. In these matches there were some records made by the Pakistan cricket team and a few of them are shown below.

  • The Pakistan cricket team has a record for the highest total score against West Indies with a total score of 657 for 8 wickets in a match played at Bridgetown in 1958.
  • Hanif Muhammad, a splendid batsman of the Pakistan cricket team has a record for the highest individual score against the West Indies cricket team. He made 337 in that match played at Bridgetown in 1958.
  • Fazal Mehmood, a fast bowler for the Pakistan cricket team, has a record for the best bowling in a match against West Indies. He got 12 wickets for just 100 runs in a match played at Dhaka in 1959.

West Indies is a well renowned team and Pakistan has played many matches. The first One Day International Match between these two teams was played in 1975 and after that a series of good matches started between these two teams. From 1975 until now, there have been almost 114 matches played between these two teams. All the matches played between these two teams were very thrilling. Out of these 114 matches, the Pakistan cricket team won 48 matches, the West Indies cricket team won 64 matches, whereas 2 matches were tied. All these matches were superb and they had some unforgettable memories attached to them and few are given below.

  • The Pakistan cricket team has a record for the lowest total score against West Indies. They got all out only at 43.
  • Saeed Anwar, a left handed batsman of the Pakistan cricket team, made a record for the highest individual score of 131 against West Indies in a match played at Sharjah in 1993.
  • The Pakistan cricket team also has a record for the highest total against West Indies with a score of 307 runs in a match played at Perth in 2005.

West Indies cricket team was a well known team in its golden time. They were known as the champions of test cricket and one day international. The Pakistan cricket team and the West Indies cricket team are the two teams who faced each other in many different venues and grounds. Both the teams try their best to win the victories and as a result of which there were many interesting matches played between these two cricket teams. The grounds are always full of spectators who enjoy the stunning matches between these two teams. As the Twenty Twenty Cup has been recently introduced, due to less time there are many teams who have not participated in these T20 matches and West Indies is one of those unlucky teams. As West Indies have not participated in the T20 matches, they have never faced the Pakistan cricket team and they have no statistics of matches against the Pakistan cricket team and there are no records made by them.
